Actually I was curious this morning about what May Day is all about so I did a little research. Turns out that May Day isn’t just about dancing around a pole with different colored ribbons. It has its origins in the labor market. May 1st is when the fight for an 8 hour work day is celebrated. Hey, I’m all for that! Well, I’d prefer a 4 hour day but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

In Europe, May Day is celebrated as a “pagan religious festival”.

Now there is a Miley Cyrus video of the infamous photo shoot. And get this - some of the talking heads on morning talk shows are suggesting that some of Miley and Billy Ray’s poses are inappropriate. Good grief!

Me thinks the ‘talking heads’ need to lighten up a little. Yeah, the no-shirt-on shot is still over the top IMO but I see nothing wrong with the Dad/Daughter shots. Check out the video and let me know what you think.

In case you’ve been living in a cave, some pictures of Miley came out last week of her snuggling with a boy and her showing her undergarmet. But no one from the Cyrus camp have confirmed or denied that it’s really her in the photos.

Now, Vanity Fair has come out with a photo spread of Miley and Billy Ray BUT there is one picture of Miley’s bare back. Why in the world would Vanity Fair take a picture like this of a 15-year old girl??? To me, it’s borderline child abuse.

I suppose I’m just getting old and my thinking is outdated. Hmmmm…..

Well, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone who worships ol’ Brett more than Mr. Madden. He loves to talk about “Brett Favre this, Brett Favre that, blah, blah, blah”. And Mr. Favre loves to hear people talk about “Brett Favre this, Brett Favre that, blah, blah, blah”. (I might be hunted down like a runaway cow by the Cheeseheads if I’m not careful!)

But I will admit Favre did some amazing things on the football field during his career. And I think he’s one of the last “Old School” (ex) football players - the kind who are tough, love the sport, and don’t shave on gameday. Gawd, I miss those days!

Anyway, Madden 2009 with Brett Favre on the cover will be released in August. You can beat the Cheesehead rush by pre-ordering and be one of the first to receive it when it arrives. Happy gaming!

Are you wondering what this topic has to do with me, The NetKnucklehead, or you, the unfortunate individual who stumbled upon my blog?
