I Give Up!
Okay, I’m done with site generation ’services’. I’ve spent so much money on these things and none have proven to be worth it.
I think the first one I tried was ContentDesk. I paid $97 per month for 3 or 4 months and made zilch, zero, nada, nothing. I still can’t believe I stuck around that long but I was a lot greener and naive then.
If I remember correctly (a challenge), my next venture was the infamous Google Cash Factor. I still chuckle to myself when I think about this bizarre episode. I think I lost $297 on this scam and got a total of 2 sites out of it, neither of which made any money. By the way, last I heard was they were gearing up for a re-launch. If they do, run as fast and as far away as you can.
Next up - PGInsider. I missed out on the initial opening of the doors to PGI and of course I kept hearing how people were actually making money with PGI. I immediately signed up on their waiting list and after a month or so, I finally made it in at $47 per month. In case you’re not familiar with PGI, the premise is to build 1000s of sites using RSSGM and NicheCreator. After a couple of months and much wailing in the forum, it was obvious PGI wasn’t the answer. Money made - zippo.
My fourth attempt at fame and fortune via site generation memberships was Virtual Private Architect (VP-A). I actually don’t have anything bad to say about VP-A other than I didn’t make enough on a monthly basis to cover my membership fee of $97 per month. I LOVE the software and the system and I have the utmost respect and confidence in Tom and Chris (the Article Miner creators). They are stand up guys.
After leaving VP-A, I decided to give SimplifiedSEC a try. The monthly cost wasn’t quite as steep at $69 per month. Creating sites in SEC is fast and the system has a solid feel. I had a lot of hope for SEC but I have a feeling the SE’s have already figured out SEC and is able to filter out SEC sites. After a month, I had zero sites indexed and a minimal amount of spidering. I’m actually still a member but will probably cancel before the next billing on the 29th.
Hopefully I won’t receive any emails announcing the next great site generation membership for awhile. I’m typically a sucker for them as you can tell. After 5 attempts, I give up.
So, right now I’m back to one of my first loves, Articlebot. I really enjoy using Articlebot and will be using it more going forward.
